About
Report
Evidence-based health care is the conscientious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients or the delivery of health services.
Current best evidence is up-to-date information from relevant, valid research about the effects of different forms of health care, the potential for harm from exposure to particular agents, the accuracy of diagnostic tests, and the predictive power of prognostic factors.
This is all so you can be rest assured that you are getting the best kind of care available, because you deserve it.
Conditions
Report
Acute pain is characterized by a sudden onset of pain in the body.
It is usually sharp and ranges from moderate to severe.
Treating it means normalizing musculoskeletal stressors, and improving the soft tissue's capacity to support your body.
It's important to manage and treat acute pain quickly and appropriately both for the best outcomes and in order to keep it from becoming chronic.
Chronic pain is defined as pain that lasts for more than 6 months.
It can be mild to severe and impacts each person differently.
